TASTE OF OAK HILL 5th ANNUAL TASTE CONTEST This year we will be celebrating the 13th anniversary of the Oak Leaf Festival. We are anticipating larger than ever crowds this year at our events. Our “Taste of Oak Hill” was a huge success last year and we are hoping for the same this year. We would like to invite you to join us in our 5th annual taste contest. There will be a couple of changes this year. We took some of the comments that our entrants last year suggested. This year we will be judging the baked goods in their own category. Our contest this year will be Tuesday, August 30th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Lewis Community Center (Old Armory) on Central Avenue. We will be in a larger space this year. The entry fee will be $10 per entry. You may enter in one or several categories. The categories are listed below. Cost will include a table for your setup. You will need to small containers for tasting. You are welcome to sell your baked items if you desire. Once again, judging will be done by the tasters. A ticket will be presented to you from each voter and you will give them a small sample of your baked goods. The voter will be given a ballot in which to cast their vote for their favorite sweet.
